After a tough time with persistent chemo effects last week, Greta began to regain appetite and strength this week. She went to Ferndale Pride with her family, and then visited her grandparents and showed off a top hat she’d made for one of her squishmellows.

On Tuesday it was back to the hospital for an echocardiogram (all is well with her heart!) and then checking in for what should be her last week of inpatient/hospital chemo. Now that she is finished with the harsh chemo drug (cisplatin), everyone was optimistic for less/shorter side effects. Indeed, she slept most of Wednesday morning, and then felt well enough to go to the hospital garden for painting in the afternoon. By dinner she was eating well, and woke up Thursday morning feeling energized, eating well, and making plans for another garden visit. She had a visit from a sweet pooch named Quinn, and continued to feel and eat well through today (Friday). We are hoping her lab results will allow her to be released this evening.
