Greta had a break from chemo this week, was out and about prepping for back-to-school and taking advantage of the summer.
On Saturday, she and Sarah had a date at the mall. Between lunch, shopping for school clothes, and a visit to slime studio, it was a busy day (photos). But well worth it for the great new outfits.
On Sunday, they took a trip to Grandma and Papa’s for some of Grandma’s delicious noodles.
Tuesday was one week from her last chemo infusion, which means her platelets (and energy) would be at their lowest. Sure enough, she was pretty tired and took it easy.
While Greta’s still staying in the main floor makeshift bedroom, her upstairs bedroom has been undergoing a decor makeover. This week, she finally got to see some of the transformation in process. New yellow walls, teal drapes and rug, and a bed canopy have brightened up her space. She especially loves the soft, soft rug (photo) which matches a favorite stuffed animal, Chonk (government name, François).
She was feeling better after the bedroom reveal, and was able to make a very stylish trip to Bombshell for ice cream (photos). She was NOT impressed after her mom took fifty eleven photos at the shop (photo).
Next week is (hopefully) her second-to-last chemo infusion. We’re all crossing fingers and toes that she makes counts!
